King of Saudi Arabia is "clinically dead"

The information was confirmed by the Saudi daily Asharq Alawsat, based in London. According to the newspaper, medical sources in Saudi Arabia have revealed that King's vital organs, including the heart, kidneys and lungs have stopped working. They also report that it is kept alive with mechanical assistance. The king was born in 1924 and among his titles, figure that of  "guardian of the Holy Places." Was crown prince and regent from 1995 to 2005, before he succeeded his brother Fahd.
