Tense day in Egypt Thousands of supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood and its ousted president, Mohamed Mursi, protest on Sunday at his place of detention in Cairo. Meanwhile, opponents of the ousted Egyptian president gather in Cairo's Tahrir Square. As background, the institutional crisis opened yesterday with the confusing naming -after denial-of Mohamed El Baradei as prime minister. The rival demonstrations suggest the risk of further violence , while Sunday continuing the difficult negotiations leading to appointment of a new prime minister after the Nobel Peace Prize does not generate sufficient consensus. "Mursi Mursi, Allah is the greatest!", "Peace, peace!" , cried the supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood under the watchful eyes of soldiers and supporters policías.Miles Mursi thousands have gathered in the square An Nahda, near the University of Cairo, in the neighborhood of Giza, on the western bank of the capital, at a mosque in the neighborhood of Nasser City (where the Islamists believe that Mursi is retained), and before the Republican Guard headquarters, where four of their own were killed Friday during an exchange of gunfire with soldiers. "We're not leaving until Mursi back. Otherwise, we die as martyrs", claimed Ahmad Ali Al-Sawi, a woman of 55 years covered with a veil, during the protest. "This was a blow to our democracy" , continued .

Two days after the deadly clashes , demonstrations outside the Cairo streets were unusually empty , with most shops closed Sunday, the first day of the week in Egypt. On Friday, at least 37 people died and 1,400 were injured throughout the country. The movement Tamarrod (Rebellion), origin of the demonstrations against Mursi now one week ago, has urged the " mobilization of the Egyptian people in all places [of Egypt] to kill [the revolution] on June 30. " Besides in Tahrir Square, protesters are expected meetings with Itihadiya presidential palaces and Al Quba, explained on his Facebook page, where he also warned that any protest will not be yours, but people who "maybe want to attack protesters " .

Road Closures

The congregation of protesters has occurred despite Egyptian Armed Forces were closing this afternoon the streets leading east of Cairo, where the Islamists loyal to deposed President Mohamed Mursi have organized protests. Military sources reported that the military has taken this step to prevent the occurrence of clashes between opponents faithful and Mursi. The sources added that those who want to participate in such concentrations shall leave his vehicle before the military and to walk the broad boulevards that redirect to the wealthy district of the capital egipcia.Además, the Army has deployed armored around the barracks, said sources. According to state television, Mursi supporters had previously closed the entrances to the headquarters of the Republican Guard with rocks and metal barriers, and have formed "popular committees" in charge of security. This new round of demonstrations will be held with the backdrop of institutional crisis opened after the confused official announcement last night that the Nobel Peace Mohamed ElBaradei would be the Prime Minister, later to be denied by a presidential spokesman.
